RSI compares the magnitude of recent gains to recent losses. Like stochastic, the RSI has critical values that can determine a buy or sell point of a trade. As the line approaches and moves above 70, the stock is becoming overvalued and will likely fall back. As the line approaches and falls below 30, the stock is becoming undervalued and will likely shoot up.
